Pre-Natal Massage

Pre-Natal Massage with David McVeighAs a mother-to-be grows her baby, she will undergo many physical and emotional changes. Some of these changes unfortunately include back pain, joint pain, and swelling. Massage can provide some reprieve from a pregnant mother’s daily discomforts. A pre-natal massage therapist can generally use all techniques to reduce the discomfort of their pregnant client, though some accommodations must be made to ensure mom’s comfort and baby’s safety. Techniques need to be modified to suit the side-lying position. It can be tricky to apply the right pressure to certain body parts when the client is side-lying, but as David says, “With the right training and practice a side-lying massage can be as effective as a prone/supine massage.” Any mother who has ever weathered the fatigue, sore back, stiff hips and swollen ankles of pregnancy could attest to the immediate comfort of a good pre-natal massage.

What David's Clients say...

"David is an incredibly talented masseuse. I have suffered from chronic neck and back pain since my teenage years, and have been to dozens of massage therapists over the years. Even my father, who is himself a masseuse, has never been able to "fix me" quite like David can. David seems to instinctively find the knots of pain and tension, and he knows just the right amount of pressure to apply. Another wonderful talent of David's is his ability to let you relax - many massage therapists have too much of their own persona in the room. Some talk too much, some just make you feel uncomfortable. David is the perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism that allows you to completely relax while he works on your stiff neck or sore back. I recommend him to all my friends and family."
